CORPORATION IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $123,082, TOTAL [AID (IF THE PROPOSAL, FOR HADLEY PARK - MISCFI-LANF0US IMPROVEMENT5 - TENNIS COURTS (2N1) 1111)DING), WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE "CHARLIF HADLEY PARK RENOVATIONS" ACCOUNT IN THE AiMOUNI OF $123,082 TO COVER THE ('ONTRAC T COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAIL) FUND THE AMOUNT OF $2,462 TO COVER THE COST (1F SUCH ITFMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORTI_ING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received August. 29, 1983 for HADLEY PARK - MISCE1.LANE0US IMPROVEMENTS - TENNIS COURTS (2ND BIDDING); and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid received from P.N.M. Corporation be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; WHEREAS, the Capital I m p r o v e rn e n t s Appropriation, Ordinance No. 9534, as amended, was adopted on December 9, 1982, and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract and incidentals from the account entitled "Charlie Hadley Park Renovations", as set forth under Section IX, Item B.i.18, of said ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The August: 297 1983 bid of P.N.M. Corporation, in the proposed amount of $123,082, for the project entitled HADLEY PARK - MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS - TENNIS COURTS (2ND BIDDING), for the total bid of the proposal based on lump sum prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Bids were received August 29, 1983 for constructing.2 tennis and 2 racquetball courts with lighting; installing asphalt walkways, landscape materials, and site furniture; and earth work and demolition of pavement at Hadley Park located at N.W. 12 Avenue and 50 Street. The Engineer's estimate is $135,000.00. As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $ bid of is the lowest responsible bid for the total bid of the proposal. Funds have been allocated under the "Charlie Hadley Park Renovations" account for the estimated amount of the contract for project expense, and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories, and postage.
