A RESOLUTION CLOSING, VACATING, ABANDONING
AND DISCONTINUING THE PUBLIC USE OF THAT
PORTION OF NORTHWEST 1ST AVENUE. WEST LYING
SOUTH OF THE SOUTH RIGHT-nF-WAY LTNE OF
NORTHWEST 1ST STREET AND NORTH OF THF NORTH
RIGHT-OF-Wt'\Y f,TNE Of' t• EST r t:AGLER STPEET, FOR
A DISTANCE OF + 290.16'; AS A CONDITION OF
APPROVAL OF TENTATIVE PLAT 41201 "DOW7NTOWN
GOVERNMENT CENTER FIRST ADDITION".
WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of June 20,
1983, Item No. 2, following an advertised hearing, adopted
Resolution No. ZB 103-83 by a 5 to 0 vote, RECOMMENDING official
vacation and closure of: that portion of Northwest 1st Avenue west
as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best
interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its
inhabitants to grant the vacation and closure of the street and
deems it advisable to do so;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That portion of Northwest 1st Avenue west
lying south of the south right-of-way line of Northwest 1st
Street and north of the north right-of-way line of West Flagler
Street, for a distance of + 290.161; as a condition of approval
of tentative plat #1201 "DOWNTOWN GOVERNMENT CENTER FIRST
ADDITION", is hereby closed, vacated, abandoned, and
discontinued for public use.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 29th day of September , 1983.

The Zoning Board, at its meeting of June 20, 1983, Item 2, following an advertised

Two objections received in the mail; two proponents present at the meeting.

A RESOLUTION to provide for the above has been prepared by the -City Attorney's
Office and submitted for consideration of the City Commission.

PLANNING DEPT. Approval: The proposed street closure is in accord with
to Downtown Government Center Development Order approved
by the City. Due to the limited length of the avenue
and the mass transit needs, the street closure is appropriate.
PUBLIC WORKS. Dedication is required by plat.
ZONING BOARD At its meeting of June 20, 1983, adopted Resolution
