"It is recommended that the Official
Vacation and Closure of that portion of
W 37 Court lying south of Peacock
Avenue and north of Shipping Avenue;
that portion of Shipping Avenue lying
east of SW 38 Avenue and west of SW
37 Avenue; that east -west alley located
in the block bounded by SW 37 Court, SW
38 Avenue, Peacock Avenue and Shipping
Avenue and that diagonal alley located
in the block bounded by SW 37 Avenue, SW
37 Court, Shipping Avenue and Peacock
Avenue be approved."
The Zoning Board, at its meeting of April 18, 1983, Item 5, following an advertised
hearing, adopted Resolution ZB 64-83 by a 5 to 0 vote, recommending approval of the
vacation and closure of that portion of SW 37 Court lying 26.5' south of the youth
right-of-way line of Peacock Avenue and lying north of the north right-of-way
line of Shipping Avenue for a distance of + 281'; that portion of Shipping Avenue
lying 37.5' east of the east right-of-way Tine of SW 38 Avenue and lying west of
the aest right-of-way line of SW 37 Avenue less the metrorail right-of-way (formerly
FEC right-of-way) for a distance of + 442'; the easterly + 266' of the east -west
alley in the block bounded by SW 37 "Court, SW 38 Avenue, Peacock Avenue and Shipping
Avenue; and the southwesterly + 358' of the diagonal alley in the block bounded by
SW 37 Avenue, SW 37 Court, Peacock Avenue and Shipping Avenue; all as a condition
of approval of Tentative Plat #1197 "DOUGLAS ROAD STATION".
