AMENDMENT N( J TO ORDINANCE NO. 9534 ORDINANCE NO. 9 7 Q 1+ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9534, THE CAPITAL i IMPROVEMENT APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE { FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1 1983; AS AMENDED; BY APPROPRIATING AN AMOUNT OF $45,000 FROM 1970 POLLUTION CONTROL AND INCINERATOR FACILITIES GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND FUND BALANCE TO ESTABLISH THE PUR- CHASE OF LITTER CONTAINERS AND DUMPSTERS AS ITEM I.C.I. IN SAID FUND; BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN AN AMOUNT OF $200,000 RECEIVED AS A GRANT FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES - FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR BLUE LAGOON PARK DEVELOPMENT, ITEM IX.B.(i)10., IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9534 on December 9, 1982, establishing resources and appropriations for the implementation of Capital Improvements in the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 80-612, adopted by the City Commis- sion on July 24, 1980, authorized the City Manager and City Attorney to take the necessary steps to implement a new Solid Waste Department program for the collection of garbage, trash, and rubbish within the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, said program includes a proposal to improve Citywide litter removal; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to purchase 250 litter containers and 12 four -yard dumpsters to be installed throughout the City for litter removal; and WHEREAS, the cost of said containers is estimated at $45,000; and WHEREAS, funds are available from 1970 Polluticn Control Bond Fund and can be appropriated to establish the Purchase of Litter Containers and Dumpsters as a new project in said fund; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No 83--317 on April 6, 1983, authorizing the City Manager to accept grant funds in the amount of $200,000 from the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program, furthering authorizing the City Manager to execute a project agreement to implement the program at Blue Lagoon Park; and WHEREAS, the grant program provides the necessary funds to design and construct portions of certain recreational facilities including boat ramp and dock renovations, a boardwalk and fishing pier, restrooms, parking area, shoreline stabilization and related site work for the development of Blue Lagoon Park; and WHEREAS, the amount of $200,000 available from the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program is hereby appropriated to the Blue Lagoon Park Development capital project in the Capital Improvement Fund; and WHEREAS, said grant amount hereby increases appropriations for Blue Lagoon Park Development from an amount of $1,503,900 to an amount of $1,703,900; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9534, adopted December 9, 1982, is hereby amended in the following particulars:l/ "Section 1. It is recommended that an amount of $45,000 from the Pollution Control Bond Fund be appropriated to establish the Purchase of Litter Con- tainers and Dumpsters as a capital project. . The City Commission adopted Resolution No. 83-317 on April 6, 1983 authorizing the City Manager to accept grant funds in the amount — of $200,000 from the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program. The Resolution further authorized the City Manager to execute a project agreement to implement the program at Blue Lagoon Park.
