HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09696J-83-801 Ordinance No. Amendment No. 10 to Ordinance No. 9502 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9502 ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 23, 1982, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1983, AS AMENDED BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE GENERAL FUND, SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,161; BY INCREASING THE REVENUE FOR THE GENERAL FUND, INTERGOVERNMENTAL REVENUE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,161 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE CONTINUA- TION OF THE FOOD AND SAFE HOUSE PROGRAM FOR THE LITTLE HAVANA ACTIVITIES AND NUTRITION CENTER OF DADE COUNTY, INC., AND PROVIDING SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING TO ACTION COMMUNITY CENTER, INC.; CONTAIN- ING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9502 on September 23, 1982, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983; and WHEREAS, the City Commission allocated $150,000 for a 12 month period to provide a Continuation of the Food and Safe House Program for the Little Havana Activities and Nutrition Center of Dade County, Inc. cost for the remainder of FY'83 $36,661; and WHEREAS, the City Commission also desires to provide supplemental funding to Action Community Center, Inc. at a cost of $2,500 for the remainder of FY'83; and WHEREAS, the City Commission passed Motion 83-474 and 83-556 at its June 9, 1983 and July 8, 1983 Commission meeting affirming this desire; and WHEREAS, the City has identified additional Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983, to support this project; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9502, adopted September 23, 1982, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for fiscal year ending September 30, 1983, is hereby further amended in the following particulars: 1/ "Section 1. The following appropriations are made for the municipal operation of the City of Miami, Florida for the fiscal year 1982-83 including the payment of principal and interest on all General Obligation Bonds: Words and/or figures stricken through shall e deleted. Unaerscdre word-s- and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material.
