Cox, C rector Building & Vehicle Maintenance DATE JCtOher 3, 1383 FILE SUeJE:- Request for Commission Action REFERENCES ENCLOSURES award of Bid and Resolution The Director of the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommends the adop- tion of a resolution accepting the bid from Motorola Incorporated for the purchase of one (1) radio paging base station at a total cost of $12,200. Pursuant to Bid Number 82-83-97, opened on August 26, 1983, only one (1) response was received. This single bid was received from Motorola, Inc., possibly because the existing paging base station is a Motorola type PURC. Therefore, the only compatible interface with the existing Motorola metropage modax and paging terminal is another Motorola paging base station. The bid received is responsible and responsive, and meets the requirements of the specifications. This equipment will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance, Division of Communication Services. Funds are available for this purchase in the Division's annual budget. 83- IL040 hf YFk Y }'3i ITEM: DEPARTMENT: TYPE OF PURCHASE: REASON: POTENTIAL BIDDERS: BIDS RECEIVED: TABULATION: BIDDER Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc.
