RESOLUTION NO. S 3-1085
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $98,144 OF FY'83-84 FEDERAL
REVENUE SHARING FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY PASSAGE OF
ORDINANCE NO. 9684 TO PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SOCIAL
SERVICE AGENCIES LISTED HEREIN IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED 1/12TH OF THE TOTAL RECOMMENDED ALLOCATION
TO EACH AGENCY FOR FY'83-84, FOR THE PERIOD FROM
DECEMBER 1, 1983 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1983, AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS
WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO THE
CITY A.TTORNEY'S APPROVAL AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has indicated its intent to support
certain social service programs providing service to residents of the
City of Miami through an allocation of Federal Revenue Sharing funds;
WHEREAS, funds have been previously appropriated by Ordinance No.
9684 to accomplish this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution Nos. 83-875 and
83-985 which provided $166,732 to certain social service agencies to
cover the period October 1, 1983 throuoh November 30, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission passed Motion No. 83-1065 which ex-
pressed intent to allocate 1983-84 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds to
previously approved social service agencies in an amount not to exceed
1/12th of the total allocation to each agency for FY'83-84;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. $98,144 of Federal Revenue Sharing funds previously
appropriated by Ordinance No. 9684, adopted September 29, 1983, is here-
by allocated to those agencies listed herein in an amount not to exceed
1/12th of the total recommended allocation to each agency for FY'83-84,
for the period December 1, 1983 through December 31, 1983.

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agree-
ment, subject to the City Attorney's approval as to form and correctness, with
the aforementioned agencies to implement respective social service programs,
subject to the conditions and limitations contained herein.

It is recommended that the City Com-
mission approve a resolution allocating

to exceed 1/12th the total recommended
FY - 4 allocation'._
At its meeting of November 16, 1983, the City Commission passed Motion
No. 83-1065 which expressed intent to allocate FY'83-84 Federal Revenue
Sharing Funds to community agencies providing social services for the
period December 1-31, 1983, at a level not to exceed 1/12th the total
recommended FY'83-84 allocation. The total allocation for this period
is $98,144.
The attached resolution formalizes Motion 83-1065.
