Resolution No. ZF', 131-83, by a 5 to U cote orantinq the con-
ditional use as hereinaf ter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the objectors hake taken an appeal to the City
Commission from approval of the Conditional Use; and
ViHEREAS, the City Conurmission, after careful consideration of
this nutter and notwi.thstandinq the approval of the Zoning Board
rinds that it is in the best interest of the general welfare of
the City of Miami and its inhabitants to deny the Conditional Use
as hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA.
Section 1. The decision of the Miami 7oninq hoard in
this ,natter is reversed and the request for the Conditional Use
as listed in Ordinance No. 6871, Article XIV, Section 1(21)(g) to
permit the corstruction of a new qas station (Ah1OCO OIL COMPANY)
located at approximately 2301 Southwest 22nd Street (Coral Way),
also described as Lots 1-10 inclusive, Block 1, SOUTH VEDADO
(17-63), as per plans on file, subject to the driveway on
Southwest 23rd Avenue being relocated to the north end of
property for better on -site circulation; zoned C-2 (Community
Commercial) is hereby denied.

The Zoning Board, at its meeting of July 19, 1983, Item 5, following an advertised
hearing, adopted Resolution ZB 131-83 by a 5 to 0 vote, granting a conditional use
as listed in Ordinance 6871, ARTICLE XIV, Section 1(21)(g) to permit the construc-
tion of a new gas station (Amoco Oil Company) at approximately 2301 SW22 Street
(Coral Way), also described as Lots 1-10 inclusive, Block 1, SOUTH VEDADO (17-63),
as per plans on file; zoned C-2 (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL).
Four objections received in the mail; one opponent present at the meeting; three
proponents present at the meeting.
Backup information is included for your •review.
A RESOLUTION to provide for the above has been prepared by the City Attorney's
Office and submitted for consideration of the City Commission.

RECOMMENDATIONS
PLANNING DEPT.
APPROVAL IN ACCORD WITH THE PLANS ON FILE '
e request is to redevelop an existing gas station site
into new modern gas dispencing facilities including
accessory convenience facilities. The new station -- '
provides for more amenities in the form of landscaping, "
_open space and setbacks than the existing facility, in
addition to having more restrictive activities than the
existing station. The proposal which meets all standards
will have minimal impact upon the surrounding area. -
PUBLIC WORKS
No dedication is requested. '
DADE COUNTY Driveway on S.W. 23 Avenue should be relocated
TRAFFIC to North end of property for better on -site
circulation.
ZONING BOARD At its meeting of July 19, 1983, adopted Res. ZB 131-83
granting the above request subject to conditions.

You will be doing away with full service to clients which
I think its vital especially now that cars are no longer
inspected by•the State, for example some of. -the services
they offer are: brake. and .tire inspection, change of oil, `'
wheel alignment etc. and you must also take into considera-
tion they are the ONLY,AMOCO STATION IN THE CORAL WAY AREA.
If the reasons stated above are not enough, just think of
the people that are going to be left out of work. This is
a neighborhood service station, we don't want fancy stuff,
we just want the good service we have always been getting
in an Amoco Station.
I hope that the above mentioned reasons will help you realize
that we need that Amoco Station left the way it presently is..
