AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS (A)(2)
AND (B)(1) AND (2) OF SECTION 30-539
ENTITLED "GREEN FEES" AND SUBSECTIONS
(A)(1) AND (2) OF SECTION 30-54, ENTITLED
"CART FEES", AND SECTION 30-55, ENTITLED
"SPECIAL RATES", OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, BY
REVISING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR CITY OF
MIAMI GOLF COURSES; CONTAINING A REPEALER
PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Sections 30-53, 30-54 and 30-55 of the Code
of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, are hereby further
amended in the following particulars:)

"Sec. 30-53. Green Fees.
( A ) Regular Green Fees. Green fees for residents
and nonresidents of the city are as follows:
(1) Summer months:
18 holes .............. .......... $6.00
Twilight ........................$3.50
(2) Winter months:
18 holes $7T59 $8.00
Twilight $4.00
State tax is to be added to the fees specified above.
Commencement and termination of the summer month fees is
to be announced by the city manager, with commencement
to be effective no earlier than April fifteenth and no
later than April twenty-ninth and with termination to be
effectived no earlier than November fifteenth and no
later than November twenty-ninth.

(B) Annual prepaid Green Fees. Annual prepaid golf
course green fees, exclusive of state or city taxes, are
as follows:
(1) Individual membership:
(a) Resident:
18 years of age or over .... $339T99 $400.00
Under 18 years of age ...... $449,99 $f£'•:=
Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted.
Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. Remaining
provi.siona are now in effect. Asterisks indicate omitted and
unchanged material.
(b) Nonresident:

(2) Family membership:
(a) Resident:
Head of family plus spouse.$545T99 $595.00
Each additional unmarried member of
same family (living with parents)

Each additional unmarried member of
same family (living with parents)

For purposes of this paragraph, a "family" shall,
mean a husband and wife, as well as the unmarried
children thereof, living with their parents. The
fact of a divorce or the death of one of the
parties to a marriage shall not preclude the
recognition of the family status defined herein.
Residents of the City of Miami Springs may pay the City
of Miami resident rate for annual membership for the
Miami County Club in Miami Springs.
Sec. 30-54. Cart fees.
(A) Electric Golf Carts:

Sec. 30-55. Special rates.
(a) Special package rates. the following are
special package rates for electric cart rental and green
fees daring summer months (as provided in subsection (A)
of section 30-53) only:

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict, are
hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph,
clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared
invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not
be affected.

REFERENCES:
ENCLOSURESs
It is recommended that Sections 30-53, 30-54,
and 30-55 of the City Code be further amended
for the purpose of revising certain fees at
City of Miami Golf Courses as indicated below
and as per the attached ordinance.
In an effort to restructure the fees charged at City -owned golf
courses to establish comparable rates with other local public courses,
it is recommended that the below listed fees be approved for imple-
mentation. This would increase revenues at the golf courses by $70,000.
Greens Fees
Winter season: 18 holes - From $7.50 to $ 8.00
Electric Cart Rental (Summer and Winter)
18 holes - From $11.50 plus State Tax and 50t
City Tax to: $14.00 plus State Tax
9 holes - From $6.50 plus State Tax and 50t
City Tax to: $ 7.50 plus State Tax
Annual Memberships
Individual Resident - 18 and over - From $350 $400.00

In addition, it is recommended that the following be deleted from the
City Code as they are no longer applicable:
(1) Section 30-54, (A) (1) City tax ($0.50) for
electric cart rentals and
(2) Section 30-55, paragraph detailing the breakdown
of the special rates as utilized during the former
concession agreement.
