Home My WebLink AboutO-09759T-83-789 ' AMENDMENT NO. 9 TO ORDINANCE NO. 9502 ORDINANCE NO. 9759 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9502, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 23, 1982, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1983, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE ENTERPRISE FUND FOR THE MIAMI SPRINGS GOLF COURSE $40,000, BY INCREASING THE ANTICIPATED REVENUES IN THE SAME AMOUNT FROM THE FY183 RENTAL REVENUES FROM SAID GOLF CARTS AND PRO SHOP OPERATIONS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOCATING $30,000 FOR THE LEASING OF 65 ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS AND $10,000 FOR THE PUR- CHASING OF PRO SHOP INVENTORY: CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9502 on September 23, 1982, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida for fiscal year ending September 30, 1983; and WHEREAS, operations of the electric golf cart rental and pro shop are operated by the Cityj and WHEREAS, the total required supplemental funding for both electric cart lease and pro shop inventory purchases, $40,000, is available from the FY'83 rental revenues from said golf carts and pro shop operations and may be appropriated from the Enterprise Fund. f NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 1 and 6 of Ordinance 9502, the Annual ` Appropriation Ordinance of the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 1983, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars: 1� Section 1. The following appropriations are made for the municipal operations of the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year 1982-83, including the payment of principal and interest on all General - obligation Bonds: • Departments, Boards and Offices Appropriation Miami Springs Golf Course $---6697+26 $ 609,126 TOTAL ZNTFRPRISE FUNDS S28707972112 •$16,119,241 wz TOTAL OPERATING APPROPRIATIONS $19915Q1T951 $192,561,951 Section 6. The herein appropriation of $40,000 shall be designated as follows: $30,000 for the leasing of electric golf carts and $10,000 for the purchase of miscellaneous pro shop inventory. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remainiaq-provsions of this ordinance shall not be affected. Gary DATE: August 17, 1983 FILE: City Manager SUBJECT= Amendment to Annual Appropriation Ordinance No. 9502 FROM: rat /Jola6 REFERENCES: Department of Recreation ENCLOSURES: It is recommended that the Annual Appropriation Ordinance No. 9502, as amended, be further amended to appropriate for the Miami Springs Golf Course $40,000; $30,000 for the continued leasing of 60 electric golf carts and $10,000 for the purchase of Pro Shop inventory from funds available from the additional Fiscal Year 1983 rental revenues from said golf carts and Pro Shop operation. Pursuant to the operation of the electric golf cart rentals, Pro Shop operations and driving range a't Miami Springs Golf Course being turned over to the City, appropriations were authorized in the following amounts: MOW for the leasing of electric golf carts and $20,000 for the pur- aiase of Pro Shop inventory. ;The;$55,000 figure was based on comparable rates for new cart leasing which would increase rental revenues by some $75,000 - $90,000 annually. In that certain difficulty regarding insurance has mandated a re -bid of the necessary soliclation for said services, it has become necessary to.continue with a temporary leasing agreement until such time as a long-term agreement may be awarded. The requested $30,000 is necessary to cover this cost. In that Pro Shop sales under the operation of the City have been successful, additional funds in the amount of $10,000 is needed for the purchase of miscellaneous inventory.
