Laying six-inch (611) cast iron pipe laterals as required to
the lots and parcels of land which abut upon the above -mentioned
streets, includint- the lots and parcels of land described in Section
2 hereof; together with necessary manholes, other appurtc-n••:n,,es,
pump stations, outfall, connections to existing; sewers, relayinc,
street pavement, sidewalks, and curb and ��,utters where such relaying
is made necessary by this improvement.
Section 2. Special Assessments for a portion of the cost of
said CITY-WIDE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT - OVERTOWN PHASE I,
SR-5501-C shall be levied upon all the lots and parcels of land
which abut upon the above -mentioned streets, including the following
described lots and parcels of land, and such lots and parcels of
land are hereby designated CITY-WIDE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT -
OVERTOWN PHASE I DISTRICT SR-5501-C (CENTERLINE SEWER).

The Department of Public Works
recommends the adoption of the
Ordering Resolution for the con-
struction of CITY-WIDE SANITARY
SEWER IM;PROVEMENT - OVERTOWN
PHASE I DISTRICT SR-5501-C
(CENTERLINE SEWER).
This district consist of properties i,i the area bordered by N.W. 5
Street, N.W. 20 Terrace, N. Miami Avenue and N.W. 5 Avenue. The
construction of this sanitary sewer improvement is part of the
City's continuing program to provide sanitary sewers throughout the
City of Miami.
The area is presently served by a sewer system built in 1915, which
has been found to be in need of replacement.
To serve this area, the Department of Public Works has designated
CITY-WIDE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT - OVERTOWN PHASE I in CITY-
WIDE SANITARY SE,,1ER I1,1PROVEMENT - OVERTOWN PHASE I DISTRICT SR-5501-C
(CENTERLINE SEWER), as an assessable improvement under Section 56
of the City Charter. Each property designated for assessment under
the Ordering Resolution will have its existing sewer service lateral
reconnected to the new lines.
The CITY-WIDE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT - OVERTOWN PHASE I is
included in the 1983-88 Capital Improvement Program and will be
constructed by a private contractor under contract with the City
of Miami. The estimated total project is $188,000, and will be
funded by General Obligation Bonds.
