WHY THE GRAND PRIX FOLKLORE FESTIVAL?
The Sponsors of the Grand Prix Folklore Festival believe that
there should be 6 time -when all of Dade County comes together
as one big neighborhood in the common neighborhood of down-
town Miami to show case to the world the international patches
that are woven into our social and economic quilt of our com-
munity.
Approximately, Two million people from the various Regions of
the world, i.e., the European Region, the North American Region,
the South American Region, the Asian Region and Africa/Middle
East Region reside in our community, and each year through
Calle Ocho, Goombay, and most recently Sunstreet Festival, we
get to know some of us better. It is our hope that the Grand
Prix will afford all of us the opportunity to get to know all
of us a little better.
