A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE CITY COMMISSION'S INTENT TO ALLOCATE 5100,000 OF FUNDS TO BE PRO- VIDED BY THE COCA COLA COMPANY FOR HISPANIC EDUCATION PROJECTS TO THREE SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES, ASPIRA OF FLORIDA AT A LEVEL OF S50,000, CENTRO MATER AT A LEVEL OF S25,000, AND YOUTH CO-OP AT A LEVEL OF S25,000. WHEREAS, the Coca Cola Company has indicated that it will commit 5100,000 to the Citv of Miami to be allocated to Hispanic education pro- jects in the City; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, at its Special Meeting of January 18, 1984, passed Motion 84-13 which identified three (3) agencies, to receive these funds, Aspira of Florida at a level of $50,000, Centro Mater at a level of $25,000, and Youth Co -Op at a level of $25,000, pending the approval of the Coca Cola Company; NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. $100,000 to be donated to the City of P1iami for Hispanic education projects by the Coca Cola Company is hereby intended to be allocated, pending approval by the Coca Cola Company, to those agencies listed herein: Agency Aspira of Florida Centro Mater Youth Co -Op Total Amount $ 50,000 25,000 25,000 $100 ,000 CITY C-01VTP4ISSI0N JAN 19 1984 of 84--8.3. 6 v PASSEn AND ADOPTED this 19 day of _ January_ _ _! , 1984.
