A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $513,633 OF FY'83-84 FEDERAL
REVENUE SHARING FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY PASSAGE OF OR-
DINANCE NO. 9684 TO PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SOCIAL SER-
VICE AGENCIES LISTED HEREIN FOR THE PERIOD FROM
FEBRUARY 1, 1984 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEtiENTS WITH
THE A.FOPEMENTIONED AGENCIES.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has indicated its intent to support certain
social service programs providing service to residents of the City of Hiami
through an allocation of Federal Revenue Sharing funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami received and considered 37 proposal requests
from agencies for the available 1983-84 Federal Revenue Sharina allocation;
and
t-1HEREAS, funds have been previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 9684
to accomplish this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution Nos. 83-875, 83-895,
83-1085 and R3-1170, which provided $369,020 to certain social service
agencies to cover the period October 1, 1983 - January 31, 1984; and
IJHFREA.S, the City Commission established the following priorities for
the allocation of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds: a) the needs of the hungry,
b) taking care of the sick and c) related support services for food and
medical projects; and
WHEREAS, an allocation of $513,633 is needed to provide Federal Revenue
Sharing Funds to Social Service Agencies in accordance with the priorities
established by the City Commission for the period February 1, 1984 -
September 30, 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF t1IAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. $513,633 of Federal Revenue Sharing funds previously appro-
priated by Ordinance No. 9684 adopted September 29, 1983, is hereby allocated
to those agencies listed herein for the period February 1, 1984 throuqh
September 30, 1984, in accordance with the service priorities established by
the City Commission:

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into agree-
ments with the aforementioned agencies to implement their respective social
service programs, subject to the conditions and limitations contained herein.
