RESOLUTION NO. c44-53
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE DEEPEST
SYMPATHY AND SINCEREST CONDOLENCES OF THE
CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI AND IT5 CITIZENS TO THt:_ FAMILY AND
FRIENDS OF METRO -DARE POLICE OFFICER
ROBERT 1_. 7.0RE UPON HIS DEATH.
WHEREAS, Robert L. 7ore had served with distinction as
a Metro -Dade Police Officer for 6 years before being shot
while quest.ioninq a robbery suspect at Dadeland Mall on
December 24, 1983; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Zore died from his wounds on
December 25, 1983; and
WHEREAS, Officer Zore was attempting to make his
community a safer place to live when he made his supreme
sacrifice at
the
age
of 25; and
WHEREAS,
it
is
the desire of the City Commission, on
behalf of the City of Miami and its citizens, to express its
deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Robert L. Zore;
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF 111AMI9 FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby conveys to the
family and friends of Metro -Dade Police Officer Robert L.
Zore its deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences, on
behalf of the citizens of the City of Miami, upon his tragic
death.
Section 2. This Resolution is offered by the City
Commission as a token of its respect and esteem.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January ,1984.
