HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-0118J-84-88 1/25/84 rr/D-6 RESOLUT ION NO. 84 -11_8 A RESOLUTION AMENDING, SECTION 9 OF RESOLUTION NO. 84-49, ADOPTED JANUARY 19, 1984, WHICH CALLED AND PROVIDED FOR A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MARCH 13, 1984, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR THEIR APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL, A MEASURE KNOWN AS "CHARTER AMENDMENT N0. 111, AMENDING THE CITY CHARTER BY MAKING NONSUBSTANTIVE CHANGES IN SAID CHARTER, SAID SECTION 9 BEING AMENDED TO INCLUDE THE CAPTION AND LANGUAGE OF THE QUESTION APPEARING ON THE BALLOT IN SAID SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO CAUSE A CERTIFIED COPY HEREOF T1) BE DELIVERED TO THE SIJPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF DADE COUNTY NOT LESS THAN 45 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF SAID SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION (IF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 9 of Resolution No. 84-49, adopted January 19, 19849 which called and provided for a special municipal election to be held on March 13, 1984, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City of Miami for their approval or disapproval, a measure known as "Charter Amendment No. 111, amending the City Charter by making nonsubstantive changes in said Charter, is hereby amended in the following particulars:) "Section 9. The proper officials of the City of Miami and Dade County are hereby authorized and directed to submit said question to the electorate at the March 13, 1984 special municipal election as 'Charter Amendment No. 1' in substantially tFie oliowing rorm: OFFICIAL B ALLOT - - I ,1. 1 Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. Section 2. The City Clerk shall deliver a certified copy of this resolution to the Supervisor of Elections for Metropolitan Dade County not less than 45 days prior to the date of the herein special mu-icipal election.
