However, it is'rec6.wwnded the City give serious consideration 4o Acquiring app- roximately 12 acres of land between N.W. 17 Street and the Miami River for the purpose of parking at the Orange Boat and which could be utilized for the Civic Center. The area can accommodate 1,500 cars parked at grade. To provide access bet- ween this parking lot, the orange Bowl, and the Civic Center.o pedestrian bas- cule bridge, which could also accommodate a (fight tram will be added across the Alarm River under the State Road 836 expressway structure. The bridge will make available to the Orange Bowl the existing 2,300 spaces at the Civic Center. Thus, the Orange Bowl will gain an effective 3.800 spaces and the Civic Con - tar will gain 1,500 spaces. Use of a tight tram could expand the mmiber of parking spaces available to the Oran" Bowl to Include same of the parking structures at the Civic Center such as Ceders Parking Garage and those but it at Jackson Mmmortal Hospital. The estimated cost of removing the existing structures and constructing all the improvements, including the bridgi, would be approximately $4,500,000.00. ilo provision has been mode at this time for land acquisi- tion costs. ;;4 '^.i:j •:--1 -T ^N71_'n•'F.ni;4aTa%.,".i:!;"rf.=+p"` ,,c> o'Wtw4.iw•- SKY 1LOU"GE \` t- i.'"r,' it;a; •- ; btu .. .!,- ,! l '.r} "+ ,•-E.krw'Es; s i vs ."., - `:•,ill iwT-a vw 3 z ,,s, ^i ;gay rlae,.a,•.'-, L5 !4flrh. +a' 3"°' - I _ ,.1 l 1 a F rr. r .'t Y A', d- i -j' basic New Orange Bowl p 1 sn pro- .The . vIded for 70sky lounges ! with the can- struct Ion of a new North and South upper deck.
