HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-0187J=84-98 2/1/84 rr/D=6 RESOLUTION NO.'1',{ A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER IO EXECUTE AMENDMENT #10 IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE FORM ATTACHED, TO THE SEPTEMBER 27, 1983 AGREEMENT WITH O'LEARY=SHAFER=COSIO, P.A.; LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS/LAND PLANNERS; TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITHIN THE ORIGINAL SCOPE OF SERVICES; BUT UNFORESEEN AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT, FOR THE RENOVATION OF MOORE PARK; USING PREVIOUSLY ALLOCATING FUNDING FOR THIS PROJECT, WHEREAS, the City Commission, by Resolution No. 83-708; adopted July 28, 1983, authorized the City Manager to execute an Agreement with O'Leary-Shafer-Cosio, P.A., Landscape Architects/Land Planners, to provide processional services for design and construction consultation related to the renovation of Moore Park; and WHEREAS, Section V of said Agreement provides for the City to authorize additional services within the original scope of the project, but unforeseen at the time of execution; and WHEREAS, the preparation of design and construction documents on project elements which were not included under the original construction cost, but which have been identified as integral to the park's renovation, will greatly facilitate future development phases of the overall project; and WHEREAS, said firm and its specialists have agreed to carry out the additional design and construction consultation services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. By Resolution #83-708, adopted July 28, 1983, the City Commission authorized the City Manager to execute an Agreement with O'Leary- Shafer-Cosio, P.A., to provide, along with their consultants Jimmie Allen & Associates, P.A., and Maurice Gray Associates, Inc., pro- fessional landscape architectural, architectural and engineering services related to the Moore Park Renovation Project. In order to facilitate future development phases of the project, this amend- ed Agreement provides for the preparation of Design and Construction Documents of project elements not included within the original Construction Cost, but within the scope of the overall renovation project. Funding for the current and additional project and design services as well as the initial phase of construction, was acquired through the U. S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Action Program Grant, matched 30/70, local/federal with Capital Improvement Program funds committed by Resolution #83-514 of January 9, 1983.
