TO 5:00 P.M., FOR THE AFL-CIO NATIONAL CONFERENCE WITH FUNDS THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, QUALITY OF LIFE PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the AFL - CIO will be holding a National Conference in Miami beginning March 1, 1984; and WHEREAS, the AFL - CIO will be using Bayfront Park Auditorium on March 3, 1984, from 1.630 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., as part of the AFL-CIO National Conference; and WHEREAS, the AFL-CIO has requested that the rental fee of $19200 be waived; and WHEREAS, on January 195 1984, the City Commission passed Motion 84-14 waiving said fee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The sum of $1,200 is hereby allocated from Special Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life Program, to cover the cost of waiving the rental fee of Bayfront Park Auditorium on March 3, 1984, from 1:30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., for the AFL -CID National Conference. Headquarters and Housing will be in the Everglades Hotel. We have requested the Manager of the Bay Front Park Aud- itorium to reserve March 3rd, starting at 1:30 p.m. until about 5:00 p.m.. It is our understanding the Auditorium will seat 2,000, we would expect to full it. This is written to sincerely request the fee for the Aud- itorium be waived. Thank you for your consideration. On January 19, 1984, the City Commission passed Motion 84-14 , which waived the rental fee for the use of Bayfront Park Auditorium from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 3, 1984, by the AFL-CIO for their national conference. The attached resolution formalizes this motion. Funds to cover the $1,200.00 rental fee are available from Special Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life Program.
