APRIL 26, 1984 FOLLOWING A RECESS IN SAID
MEETING BETWEEN 1.00 P.M. AND 3:00 P.M.;

SAID MEETING HAVING CONVENED AT 9:00 A.M.
ON SAID DATE IN THE CHAMBERS OF THE C I I Y
COMMISSION AT CITY HALL, DINNER KEY,
MIAMI, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has long recognized the
need for
its meetings to be held at locations throughout the
City representative of most of the community neighborhoods
which are
not in close proximity to City Hall at Dinner Key;
and
WHEREAS, Code Section 2-12 expressly authorizes the
designation of alternate meeting places from time to time as
may appear appropriate to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The regular meeting of the City Commission
scheduled for April 26, 1984 shall be convened at 9:00 A.M.
in its Chambers on the first floor of the City Hall located
at Dinner Key, Miami, Florida, whereupon said meeting shall
be in recess between 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. and reconvene at
3:00 P.M. in the Auditorium of the Fairlawn Elementary
Community School, 444 SW 60th Avenue, Miami, Florida,
Section 2. Matters to be considered at this City
Commission meeting shall be generally limited to those
matters arising from or under the provisions of Ordinance No.
9500, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami,

The City Code (Section 2-12) provides that not less than 30
days must elapse from the adoption of any resolution
designating a location for City Commission meetings other
than City Hall. Accordingly, for your consideration at the
meeting of February 28, 1984, we have prepared nine proposed
resolutions separately designating alternate sites considered
by you in the above Motion (M84-140) with the first meet984

The body of each resolution (Section 2) indicates whether or
not the matters generally to be considered at the alternate
site meeting arise from or under the City's Zoning Ordinance.
In accordance with the City Code, the resolutions also
provide that you are not precluded from considering any
matter at any meeting whether or not such matter arises from
or under the Zoning Ordinance.
