HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-0298and WHEREAS, Code Section 2-12 expressly authorizes the designation of alternate meeting places from time to time as may appear appropriate to the City Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The regular meeting of the City Commission scheduled for May 10, 1984 shall be convened at 9:00 A.M. in its Chambers on the first floor of the City Hall located at Dinner Key, Miami, Florida, whereupon said meeting shall be in recess between 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. and reconvene at 3.00 P.M. in the Auditorium of the Miami Northwestern Senior Nigh -Community School, 7007 NW 12th Avenue, Miami, Florida. Section 2. Alternative Locations, City FROM: Jose Garcia -Pedrosa Commission Meetings City Attorney ENCLOSURES (9) The City Code (Section 2-12) provides that not less than 30 days must elapse from the adoption of any resolution designating a location for City Commission meetings other than City Hall. Accordingly, for your consideration at the meeting of February 28, 1984, we have prepared nine proposed resolutions separately designating alternate sites considered by you in the above Motion (M84-140) with the first meet84 ingat a proposed alternate location scheduled for April 5, at the Comstock Elementary School, 2420 NW 18th Avenue. The body of each resolution (Section 2) indicates whether or not the matters generally to be considered at the alternate site meeting arise from or under the City's Zoning Ordinance. In accordance with the City Code, the resolutions also provide that you are not precluded from considering any matter at any meeting whether or not such matter arises from or under the Zoning Ordinance.
