A RESOLUTION ORDERING EDGEWATER HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT, H-4496 AND DESIGNATING THE
PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESS-
MENTS SHALL BE MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE
COST THEREOF AS EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT, H-4496.
WHEREAS, the overall condition of certain street rights of
way in the Edgewater area has deteriorated; and
WHEREAS, the deteriorated streets have pavement that is
narrow, in poor condition and/or out of grade, parkways in poor
condition and drainage problems exist; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements will include new asphaltic
pavement, concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm
drainage facilities and landscaping; and
WHEREAS, EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVE?LENT, H-4496, is included
in the City of Miami's Capital Improvement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as EDGEWATER
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496 shall be made under Section 56 of the
Charter of the City of Miami, as amended, located in the area
bordered by N.E. 20 Street, N.E. 35 Terrace, Biscayne Boulevard
and Biscayne Bay.
Section 2. This improvement shall include clearing and
grading, construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbs and/or
gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm drainage facilities and land-
scaped areas.
Section 3. This improvement shall be designated in all
proceedings and assessments as EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496,
and the property against which special assessments shall be made for
a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall be designated as
EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, H-4496, with the following
property descriptions by lot and block number constituting all of
the pieces of property affected by the said improvements: I CITY COMMISSIO

The Department of Public Works recommends
adoption of a resolution ordering the
EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496, in
the EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT,
H-4496.
In a continuing effort to serve the residents of the City of Miami,
a local improvement described as EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496,
is being proposed as an assessable improvement under Section 56 of the
Charter of the City of Miami. This district is located in the area
bordered by N.E. 20 Street, N.E. 35 Terrace, Biscayne Boulevard and
Biscayne Bay.
The overall condition of certain street rights of way in the Edgewater
area has deteriorated. The pavement is narrow, in poor condition
and/or out of grade, side parkways are in poor condition and drainage
problems exist.
All of these problems will be corrected on the streets included in
the EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496. The proposed construction
will include asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs
and/or gutters, storm drainage and landscaping.
EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496, is included in the City of
Miami's 1983-89 Capital Improvement Program. The construction of
this improvement will be funded by Highway and Storm Sewer General
Obligation Bond Funds. The estimated total cost of this project is
$1.4 million.
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and assess-
ments as EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, H-4496, and the property
against which special assessments shall be made for a portion of
the cost thereof, shall be designated as EDGEWATER HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT, H-4496.
