ENCLOSURES
It is recommended that the
City Commission approve the
attached Resolution approving
the issuance of up to $65,000,000
Multi -Family Housing Revenue
Bonds of the City of Miami to
finance certain multi -family housing
projects under the City's Affordable
Rental Housing Development Program.
Through Resolution No. 81-848, the City Commission approved Implementation
Guidelines for the Affordable Rental Housing Development Program. The
program is expected to assist in the financing of approximately 1,000 new
units of rental housing affordable to low and moderate income families.
Because proceeds from the sale of tax-exempt Mortgage Revenue Bonds will be
used in the financing of project development costs, the federal Tax Equity
and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982 (TEFRA) requires that a public hearing
be held in order to provide the opportunity for the public to comment on the
proposed project financing plan.
Through this memorandum, it is requested that a public hearing be scheduled
before the City Commission on March 8, 1984.
Commission approval of this item is recommended.
