ENCLOSURES:
The Department of Public Works has determined
a low bidder for the MIAMI STADIUM - CONCERT
STAGE ROOF. The proposed attached resolution
accepts the bid received January 18, 1984 of
L & F Properties, Inc. in the amount of
$158,000, and authorizes the City Manager
to enter into a contract on behalf of the City.
Bids were received January 18, 1984 for MIAMI STADIUM -
CONCERT STAGE ROOF.
As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $158,000 bid
of L & F Properties, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for
the base bid of the proposal.
Funds have been allocated under the "Miami Stadium - Concert
Stage" account, and monies are available for the estimated
amount of the contract, for project expense, for such items
as advertising, testing laboratories, and postage.
Eleven contractors picked up plans and specifications; 2
contractors submitted bids, of which one was a Hispanic
minority contractor. The engineer's estimate was $100,000.
(This was based on a contractor's assessment of the job,
and may not have included bond, insurance, and overhead
costs.)
