Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received February 31
1984 for furnishing materials and equipment needed to demolish
and clear away the debris from the structure as directed by the
Fire, Rescue and Inspection services Department, Code Enforcement
Section.
The subject building has long been an eyesore; vacant, unsecured
and a harbor for vagrants. It has been cited as a focal point
of recent criminal activity and is deteriorated to the point of
presenting an extreme hazard to the life and safety of surrounding
citizenry. By this justification, we request its immediate demise.
Funds are to be provided by the Community Development Program and
recovery by normal lien holding proceedings.
