In accordance with the City Manager's memorandum of September 12,
1983, we are alerting you of the impending start of the Latin
Quarter Paving Project, Phase III, in anticipation of your wanting
to schedule a groundbreaking ceremony for the project.
This federally funded project consists of construction of brick
sidewalks in the Little Havana area. The Little Havana Development
Authority has already e.zpressed interest to this department in con-
ducting an elaborate groundbreaking ceremony to attract- attention
to the project: in holxc.s of =ot:ting more federal funding.
I will rely* upon you. or the Office. of Public Information to contact
Mrs. Hilda. Rodriguez, Director of the Little- Havana Development
Authority, prior to scheduling any ceremony. If this department's
assistance is required in. any way, please contact our Construction
Engineer, Luther E. Long at 579-6874. A fact sheet on the project
is attached.
