A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $227,867 FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FT. DALLAS PARK; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE AGREEMENT IMPLEMENTING SAID GRANT. WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has applied for grant funds in the amount of $250,000 from the Florida Recrea- tion Development Assistance Program; and WHEREAS, the State of Florida has approved the City of Miami's application for funds in the amount of $227,867 for the development of Ft. Dallas Park; and WHEREAS, this grant will be matched with funds received from the Dallas Park Hotel as a covenant; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami has been designated eligible to be a recipient of these funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept grant funds from the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program in the amount of $227,867 for the development of Ft Dallas Park. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the Florida Department of Natural Resources to implement this grant. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY OF April , 1984. fRZPH? G.
