A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $1699.50 FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND
ACCOUNTS, QUALITY OF LIFE FUND, FOR THE
BENEFIT CONCERT FOR THE PREVENTION OF
CHILD ABUSE, TO BE PRESENTED BY THE DUDE
COUNTY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION AUXILIARY ON
APRIL 7, 1984, AT MAURICE GUSMAN CULTURAL
CENTER; SAID ALLOCATION BEING CONDI-
TIONED UPON COMPLIANCE WITH ADMINISTRA-
TIVE POLICY NO. APYr-1-84, DATED JANUARY
24, 1984.
WHEREAS, the Prevention of Child Abuse is a worthy cause;
WHEREAS, the Dade County Medical Association has requested
$1699.50 to help defray the cost of producing a Benefit Concert
for the Prevention of Child Abuse; and
WHEREAS, the concert will be performed by the Greater Miami
Symphony and features the Latin Root Ballet at Maurice Gusman
Cultural Center on April 5, 1984; and
WHEREAS, all proceeds from the concert will be distributed
to the HRS Emergency Fund, the Crisis Nursery, Project Support and
individual shelter- homes to prevent child abuse;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. An amount not to exceed $1699.50 is hereby allo-
cated from Special Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life Fund to
the Dade County Medical Association Auxiliary to help defray the costs
of presenting a Benefit Concert to Prevent Child Abuse in the
Maurice Gusman Cultural Center on April 7, 1984.
Section 2. The herein allocation is conditioned upon com-
pliance with City of Miami Administrative Policy No. APM-1-841
dated January 24, 1984.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5t1i day of April, 1984.
