MIAMI/UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI JAMES L. KNIGHT
INTERNATIONAL CENTER ALSO COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS
THE MIAMI CONVENTION CENTER AND AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 9534, ADOPTED DECEMBER 9, 1982, THE
EXISTING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS APPROPRIATIONS
ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE MIAMI CONVENTION CENTER
AND PARKING GARAGE IN THE MIAMI CONVENTION CENTER
ENTERPRISE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $248,000 FROM
FY 1984 FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT FRANCHISE
REVENUES TO MAKE FINAL PAYMENT TO
FRANK J. ROONEY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,250,000; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.

1982, establishing resources and appropriations for the implementation of

WHEREAS, it i$ •6ecessary to increase appropriations for the Miami
Conventiogj Center., en amount of $247,746 so that final payment in the

'WHEREAS„ the amount of $248,000 is available from FY 1984 Florida Power
and Light Franchise Revenues; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of $3,998,200 from FY 1984 Florida Power and
Light Franchise Revenues made to the Convention Center for operating
expenditures estimated to be incurred during FY 1984 and for depreciation will
be reduced at a later date by the same amount of $248,000 or greater; and
