HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-0567.1-84-471 RESOLUTION NO. 84-®56'7 A RESOLUTION LOANING A SUM OF $25,000 FROM THE FY'84 SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS BUDGET, CONTINGENT FUND, TO THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING TO FUND THE TENTING OF THE CITY OWNED Oi_YMPIA BUILDING LOCATED AT 174 EAST FLAGLER STREET. THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING WILL REPAY SAID LOAN FROM THEIR FY'85 BUDGET. BE IT RESOLVED 13Y T111s COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to loan the Department of Off -Street Parking a sum of $25,000 to fund the tenting of the City owned Olympia Building located at 174 East Flagier Street. The Department of Off -Street Parking will repay said loan from its FY'85 budget. Section 2. The sum of $25,000 is hereby allocated from the FY'84 Special Programs and Accounts budget Contingent Fund to cover said loan. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of May, 1984. This money will be used by said organization to fund the tenting of the City owned Olympia Building located at 174 East Flagler Street. The Department of Off -Street Parking will repay said loan from their FY'85 budget. The Olympia Building is invested with termites, thus creating a poor working environment for the occupants of the building which include local business people and their customers. as well as City employees. The Department of Off -Street Parking estimates that the tenting of said building to eliminate this problem will cost $25,000. The Gusman and Olympia Building Enterprise Fund which would normally pay for this expenditure flocs not have sufficient cash flow in its F1''84 hudad*. to fund same-. In addition, ordinances governing the Off -Street Parking I?c, art.mcsit.'s Revcntuc Bonds are extremely restrictive regarding the ui.il izOtiOn of' {parking rc:vertues for nnn king related matters. Therefore, it is illt:uK u11cn the City of Miami to make available the necessary funds to alleviate thi" problem.
