A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $7,890 FROM SPECIAL PROGRAPiS AND ACCOUNTS: CONTINGENT FUND, TO THE INDUSTRIAL HOME FOR THE BLIND FOR THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 1., 1.984 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED AGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Commission has indicated its intent to support certain social service programs providing service to residents of the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution Nos. 83-875, 83-985, 83-1085 and 83-1170, which provided $5,610 of Federal Revenue Sharing funds to the Industrial Home for the Blind to cover the period October 1, 1983 - January 31, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution 84-184 which provided the Industrial Hame for the Blind $10,500 of SJ)ecial Programs and Accounts: Contingent Fund, to cover the period Fcbl-'Wil-y 3, 1984 through Sej>>iember 30, 1984; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, by Motion 84-235 passcd I-1arc,h 8, 1984, expressed its intent to allocate an additional $7,890 to the Industrial Home for the Blind which would bring the agency's combined FY'83-84 allocations to the total of $24,000 which was requested in the agency's original Federal Revenue Sharing application; FLORIDA:,, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, Section 1. $7,890 of General Funds, Special Programs and Accounts: Contingent Fund, are hereby allocated for the period February 1, 1984 through September 30, 1984, to the Industrial Home for the Blind. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with the aforementioned agency to provide services to blind persons, subject to the conditions and limitations contained herein.
