WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received April 13, 1984 for the furnishing of Four (4) Hydraulic Cranes on a Rental Basis for Three (3) Days at the Marine Stadium to the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 24 potential suppliers and 4 bids were received; and ItiHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1983-84 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance for the purpose of launching and removing unlimited class hydroplane boats throughout a scheduled race at the 1,1ari.ne Stadium; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the bids received from M.R. Harrison Crane Service, Inc. be accepted as the lowest reponsible and responsive bid; NOW, TIiEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The April 13, 1984 bid of M. R. Harrison Crane, Inc. for furnishing Four (4) Hydraulic Cranes on a Rental Basis for Three (3) days at the Marine Stadium to the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance at a total proposed cost of CITY COMMISSION MEETIN C OF MAY 10 1984 RES01i11i;Y, RcMhRhS 0 $9,781.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1983-84 Operating Budqet of the Office of Stadiums.
