Ho„,ever, negotiations between Ms. Rexach and staff of the Puerto Rican Opportunity Center deteriorated. The Center has, therefore, been operating the program without Ms. Rexach. Further, we learned that Ms. Rexach is sought by the authorities for passing fraudulent checks. Therefore, the Center did not hire Ms. Rexach. The Program has been operating satisfactorily; therefore, it is recommended that $3,000 be allocated to the Puerto Rican Opportunity Center for the period February 1, 1984 through April 15, 1984. It is recommended these funds be allocated from the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts: Contingent Fund, The attached Resolution formalizes Motion 84-195 and authorizes the City Manager to amend the City's existing 1983-84 contract with this Agency to include the $3,000 allocation.
