HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-0604J-84-276 RESOLUTION NO. Na- A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WARREN L. BRAUN, P.E., CONSULTING ENGINEERS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000 IN CONNECTION WITH SERVICES IN CON- JUNCTION WITH CABLE COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY'S TECHNICAL REVIEW OF THE CITY OF MIAMI'S CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM WHEREAS, the City Commission, at its regular meeting on May 12, 1983, by Motion No. 83-380 accepted recommendations for the annual review of cable television as contained in a memorandum from the City Manager to the City Commission dated May 6, 1983; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommended that the City Commission authorize the execution of an agreement for professional service with Warren L. Braun, P.E., Consulting Engineers, in a sum not to exceed $15,000 for the purpose of assisting the Cable Communications Agency in conducting its technical review of the cable television system; and WHEREAS, on June 15, 1983, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 83-535 which authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement for professional services with Warren L. Braun, P.E., Consulting Engineers, for the purpose of assisting the Cable Communications Agency in conducting its technical review of the cable television system; and WHEREAS, the further expert services of Warren L. Braun, P.E., Consulting Engineers will be needed to assist the Cable Communications Agency in continuing its technical review of the cable television system; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the professional services agreement with Warren L. Braun, P.E., Consulting Engineers for the purpose of assisting the Cable CITY COMMISSION NiEE I14C OF .WE LO 0 Communications Agency in continuing its technical review of the Cable Television System; and Section 2. A sum not to exceed $15,000 is hereby allocated from the amount appropriated for Special Revenue Funds, Cable Television. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of May, 1984. MAURICE A. FROM: k Merrill REFERENCES: Assistant to the City Manager for Intergovernmental Affairs/Cable ENCLOSURES: Resolution The attached Resolution authorizes the City Manager to extend the professional services agreement with Warren Braun, P. E., Consulting Engineers, in an amount not to exceed $15,000. The Cable Communi- cations Agency is presently conducting its technical review of the cable television system so as to ascertain whether the City's cable licensee is in compliance with the technical :system plan required and submitted in accordance with the requirements of the license ordinance, The continuance of these professional services by 14arren Braun, P.E. will be needed to assist the Cable Communications Agency in completing its technical review of the cable television system.
