HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09843a..eeR'94`Ws[ :3nidi�nStSlfi. ••� - Xa ORDINANCE NO 4/10 j54 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "INTERNATIONAL V.99TIVAL + 19 8 4 " , AND a APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ITS OPERATION IN TEE`AMOtw OE $125,000 COMPOSED OF - $45, 500 PREVIOUSLY ALLOCATED TO THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOONTS, QUALITY OF LIFE FUND, AND $79, 500 IN REVENUES RECtt'VED FROM THE SALE OF TICXETS AND BOOTH RENTALS, CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVI- SION AND A 89VERABILITY CLAUSE. ` = WHEREAS, the City Commission, by Motion No. 84r-34 of January 15, 1984, expressed its intent to produce the 1984 International Festival through the Combined efforts of the Parks and Recreation Department and the City Manager's Office; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, by Resolution NO. 84-179 on February 91 1984, allocated $34,000 from Special Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life Fund, to the International Festival; and ` WHEREAS, said allocation was conditioned upon compliance with `City -of Miami Administrative Policy No. APM-1-84, dated January 24, ":- 1980= and WHEREAS, the International Festival is a City of Miami event and not a special funding request and therefore does not comply with Admi- nistrative Policy No. APM-1-84; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, by Motion No 84-457, on April 10, 1984, directed the City Manager to allocate an amount sufficient to ,i cover. the rental costs of the Coconut Grove Exhibition Center on June 8,9, and 10, 1984, in connection with the International Festival; { and WHEREAS, -said rental cost amounts to $11,500; and - WHEREAS, funds for said rental cost are available from 'Speca:al -= , Z11 Prografis'and Accounts, Quality of Life Fund; and WHEREAS, it is expected that the International Festival will generate $79,500 in revenues from ticket sales, booth rentals and conk kp cessions; and :.
