FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER
FOR THIS EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids
were received May 14, 1984 for the furnishing of Eight (8) Photo-
graph File Cabinets to the Department of Police; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 37 potential suppliers
and 8 bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the
Prior Year Reserve Fund; and
WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department
- of Police for the purpose of providing new equipment for the proper
storage of photographs and identification in the Criminal Investiga-
tion Section; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Depart-
ment of Police recommend that the bid received from J. C. White
Office Furniture Company be accepted as the lowest responsible and
responsive bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The May 14, 1984 bid of J. C. White Office
Furniture Company for furnishing Eight (8) Photograph File Cabinets
to the Department of Police at a total cost of $5,680.00 is hereby
accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Prior Year
Reserve Fund.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
