State law.requires that duplicate sets of mucrofilmd building plans and do=rents have to be maintained in a safe remote location. The 180,000 microfiche jackets contain microfilm of plans and documents from approximately 1972 to 1980. The actual plans are Presently stored in a warehouse with no roam left for further storage and access of these plans is very difficult. Duplication of these jackets will allow us to dispose of all hard copies of plans and documents and the duplicate set of microfilm will require less roam to store and be mare readily available when needed. Copies of documents photographed in the microfiche jackets are provided to property owners, to lawyers when records are subpoenaed, and to other departments when requested.
