WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received April 23, 1984 for the furnishing of Two (2) Electronic Control Units and Installation on Emergency Electric Generators to the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 39 potential suppliers and 2 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1983-84 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance for the purpose of replacing worn equipment with more efficient electronic units for the i I prevention power disruption at the Police Department; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the bid received from Cummins Southeastern Power, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.
