ENCLOSURES: Assoc .
it is recommended that the City Commis-
sion approve the attached resolution
authorizing the City Manager to amend
the Agreement between the City of Miami
and Hammer, Siler George Associates
from $40,000.00 to $42,500.90 to pro-
. vide additional compensation for addi-
tional services provided beyond the
original Agreement for the preparation
of an Opportunity Analysis for the
Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelop-
ment Project.
Hammer, Siler, George Associates, HSGA, recently completed an
opportunity analysis for the Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevel-
opment Project and, at our request, additionally developed a sec-
ond report exclusively on the Overtown Urban Initiatives Area.
the firm also incurred additional costs on this project due to the
inability of the City to provide certain basic data necessary for
the market analysis, thus necessitating additional research on
their behalf.
Based on our analysis of the work performed, Hammer, Siler, George
Associates is entitled to additional compensation, although we are
not legally bound to any payments above those stated in the orig-
inal Agreements between the Consultant and the City. Hammer,
Siler, George Associates has been responsible for a number of con-
tracts directly with the City or relating to joint County projects
and in all instances their work has been exemplary.
It is recommended that the Commission approve the attached reso-
lution amending the Agreement with Hammer, Siler, George
Associates.
