AMOUNT OF $301,000 FROM INTEREST EARNINGS, AND DECREASING APPROPRIATIONS FOR PROJECT CENTRAL DATA BASE COMPUTER SYSTEM ITEM VIII.B(5) IN THE AMOUNT OF $112,000 AND APPROPRIATING SAID RESOURCES TO ESTABLISH A NEW PROJECT ENTITLED ACQUISITION OF COMPUTER AND ASSOCIATED PERIPHERALS ITEM VII.C(2) AND TRANSFERRING SAID RESOURCE AND PROJECT TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND ITEM IX.C(i)16, BY ALLOCATING $973,400 FROM THE FY'84 GENERAL FUND BUDGETS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, $102,000 AND THE COMPUTER DEPARTMENT, $871,400 TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND ITEM IX.C(i)16, AND INCREASING THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,721,200 AND ESTABLISHING A NEW PROJECT IN SAID FUND ENTITLED ACQUISITION OF COMPUTER AND ASSOCIATED PERIPHERALS ITEM IX.C(i)16; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9534 on December 9, 1984, establishing resources and appropriations for the implementation of Capital Improvements in the City of Miami, Florida; and WHEREAS, the total annual cost to the City for FY'84 of all purchased equipment inclusive of two B-7900's and conversion support is $1,721,200; and WHEREAS, of this total $947,115 is for rental, $498,551 for repairs/mainte- nance and $275,534 for conversion support; and WHEREAS, after discussion with the City's Finance Department it was determined that the $1,721,200 should be appropriated into the Capital Improvement Fund under one project.title in order to simplify the payment for said items; and WHEREAS, an amount of $50,000 is available from the 1970 Pollution Control and Incinerator Facilities General Obligation Bond Fund, fund balance; and WHEREAS, an amount of $252,300 is available from the unspent balance of the Central Data Base Computer Systems project; and WHEREAS, an amount of $32,500 is available from the 1975, 1976, and 1980 Sanitary Sewer General Obligation Bond fund, interest earnings; and WHEREAS, an amount of $301,000 is available from the 1970 Police Headquarters and Crime Prevention Facilities General Obligation Bond fund, from interest earnings and $112,000 is available from the unspent balance of the Central Data Base Computer Systems project; and WHEREAS, $973,400 is available from the FY'84 General Fund Budgets of the Police Department, $102,000 and the Computer Department $871,400; and WHEREAS, the aforementioned resources in the amount of $1,721,200 will be appropriated into the Capital Improvement Fund to fund a new project entitled Acquisition of Computer and Associated Peripherals; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9534 adopted December 9, 1982, is hereby amended in the following particulars: 1/ "Section 1. FILE: DMB52/jw 9534 After discussion with the City's Finance Department, it was determined that the cost of all computer equipment inclusive of two Burroughs 7900 Computers, associated peripherals, system software and conversion support should be appropriated into the Capital Improvement fund under one project title in order to simplify the payment of such items. The FY'84 cost of all computer equipment is $1,721,200. Of this total, $947,115 is for rental, $498,551 for repairs/maintenance and $275,534 for conversion support.
