KNIGHT INTERNATIONAL CENTER ALSO COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE MIAMI CONVENTION CENTER AND AMENDING 'ORDINANCE NO. 06634.9 ADOPTED DECEMBER 9, 19829 THE EXISTING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE, ' AS 'AMENDED, BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE MIAMI CONVENTION CENTER AND PARKING GARAGE IN THE MIAMI CONVENTION CENTER ENTERPRISE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $248,000 FROM FY 1984 FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT FRANCHISE REVENUES TO MAKE FINAL PAYMENT TO FRANK J. ROONEY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,250,000; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9534 on December 9, 1982, establishing resources and appropriations for the implementation of capital improvements in the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 84-395 on April 5, 1984, authorizing the City Manager to make payment to Frank J. Rooney, Inc. i`n the amount of $1,250,000 as final payment and in total final settlement for the construction of the City of Miami/University of Miami James L. Knight International Center a. k. a. the Miami Convention Center; and WHEREAS, the amount appropriated to date for the construction of the w` , Miami Convention Center includes funds the Frank J. Rooney, Inc. in the total amount/ of $1,002,254; and } F= WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase appropriations for the Miami' Convention Center, by an amount of $247, 746 so ithat, #i nal payment=p abovementioned amount of"$1,250,000 may be made to Frank J. Knight International Center a.k.a. the Miami Convention Center in the amount of $248,000 from FY 1984 Florida Power and Light Franchise Revenues for the purpose of making final payment to Frank J.
