Section 2. Spoc_al_ Assessments for a portion of the cost

streets, including Lhe following descriled lots and parcels of land,
and such lots and parcels of land are hereby designated WINONA SANITARY
S3gER IMPROVFfi= DISTRICT SP 5494-C (CL'NI'I;RLINE SLR ER)
To each of the lots zu-id parcels of land which abut upon
the above -mentioned streets, including the following described lots
and parcels of land to the property line of which a sewer lateral or
laterals is laid, will be assessed the average cost of that lateral or
laterals, under the provisions of Section 56 of the Garter of The City
of Miami, as amended:

The Department of Public Works
recommends the adoption of the
Ordering Resolution for the
construction of "WINONA SANITARY
SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-
5494-C (centerline sewer)."
This district consists of properties in an area bounded by West
60 Avenue, F. E. C. Railroad, S. W. 8 Street, and the Tamiami
Canal. The construction of this sanitary sewer improvement is
part of the City's continuing program to provide sanitary sewers
throughout the City of i.iiami.
The area is presently served by septic tank and drainfield instal-
lations which are to be abandoned by the property owners after
completion of the sanitary sewer system.
To serve this area, the Department of Public Works has designated
"WINONA SANITARY SEt9ER IMPROVEMENT" in "WINONA SEWER I ✓1 ROVEMENT
DISTRICT SR-5494-C (centerline sewer)" as an assessable improvement
under Section 56 of the City Charter. Each property designated for
assessment under the ordering resclLtion will receive a sewer
service lateral to the property line.
The "WINONA SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT" is included in the 1983-
1989 Capital Improvement Program and will be constructed by a
private contractor under contract with the City of Miami. The
estimated total project cost is $4,300,000 and will be funded by
General Obligation Bonds.

G.O. Bond - Sanitary Sewers
This area is in a low lying area where
storm flooding occasionally occurs and
septic tank drainfields do not function
properly. The area was formerly a part
of the Fairlawn Sanitary Sewer district
which has been reduced in size to ex-
pedite awarding a contract for this area.

Sanitary Sewer Improvement - SR-5494-C
