Re: Orange Bowl Stadium Seating
Bid 983-84-92
Dear Mr. Gary:
We are the apparent lowest responsible bidder
meeting specifications on the above referenced. It is
our understanding that the Public works Department has
recommended an award to the high bidder, Sport Seating
Company of Pennsylvania, whose bid price was over 250
higher than ours. As a Dade County Tax Payer, Florida
Corporation, and possessors of a Dade County Public
Seating Cerfificate of Competency, we respectfully
request the award of this project.
We are a 25 year old firm and represent Hussey
Seating Company, a world leader in public seating and
an unparalled record of excellence since 1835. It is
inconceivable that an additional $135,000 over our low' Tea
bid could be awarded to the high bidder on this projoeat.-
We request an opportunity to present Oompleta
information and samples to you, Mayor Forte 4nd the
Consiission at your scheduled July 30th 1-wetinq. PI
advise us at your earliest donvenienee as to where v*_,rK rf
would appear on this agenda. f is

Re: Orange Howl Stadium Seating
Hid 883-84-92
Dear Mr. Cather:
As the lowest responsible bidder on the above
referenced, we protest any award to the high bidder,
Sport Seating Company of Pennsylvania.
We are a 25 year established Florida Company,
specializing in all phases of outdoor and indoor public
seating. We are representatives for Hussey Seating Com-
pany, established in 1835 and a world leader in the spec-
tator seating field. Wimer-Stubbs Associates, Inc., holds
a Dade County Certificate of Competency in Public Seating.
We respectfully request an opportunity to furnish
whatever additional facts, assurances, samples and guarao-
tees which would be appropriate to this project. We oanli&t
imagine an award of this project to a high bidder withr k<.
over 251 higher than ours. Such an award would be an mro-
conscionable use of tax revenues. Wiser -Stubbs 11A•
Inc., and Hussey Seating Company have every intention'
meeting and exceeding your bid requirements and ea R0
Sincerely,
