CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH BALD FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received July 3, 1984, for Commercial Districts - Signs; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid received from Mplwph Signs, Inc. be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals from the account entitled "Community Development Block Grant"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI , F LOR1?,A Section 1. The July 3, 1984, bid of Melweb Signs, Inc., in the propo:e:d amount of $74,630.00, for the project entitled Commercial Districts - Signs for the base bid of the proposal based on lump sum prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. The amount of $74,630.00 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Community Development Block Grant" to cover the cost of said contract. Section 3. The additional amount of $10,448.00 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of project expense. Section 4 The additional amount of $1,492.00 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid fund to cover the cost of such incidental items as �-i.dvc,rtisin8, testing laboratories, and postage. Section 5. The City Hanager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami. with Melweb Signs, Inc. for Commercial Districts - Signs, base bid of the proposal.
