requested a $25,950 grant from the City to help cover the cost of
said event;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. An amount not to exceed $25,950 is hereby
allocated from Special Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life
Fund, to the City of Miami Youth Baseball Academies in connection
with the Third Annual Youth Baseball World Series to be held in
the Miami Stadium on August 10-17, 1984.
Section 2. The herein allocation is conditioned upon
substantial compliance with City of Miami Administrative Policy
No. APM-1-84, dated January 24, 1984.

an agreement with the City of Miami Youth Baseball Academies,
Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Miami. and the City of Miami
Youth Baseball .Academies, Inc. do mutually agree as follows:
1. TERM
The term of this Agreement shall be from August 10, 1984
through AuguSt. 17, 19B4.
2. GRAIIITEI] AGREES
A) shall produce the Third Annual City of Miami
Youth Basel)all World Series at the Miami Stadium on August ALO-i7,
1984.
B) GRANTEE shall enter into an use agreement with the City
of Miami for the use of the Miami Stadium.
C) GRAi.` Er- sAiall Comply with the covenants and requirements
stipulated ill said use: ac�reerrsent.
U) GRI'.t�`i'LE' shall p„y for all other costs associated with
producing the Thir(I tit nual City of Miami Youth Baseball World
Series in the Miami Stadium

related to said event within 30 days after the completion of the

3. COMPENSATION

4. TERMINATION 01. CONTPACT
CITY retainc tine to terminate this Agreement at
any time ptior to Llie completion of the services without penalty
to CITY. In thaL event, notice of termination of this
Agreement shall be in writing to GRANTEE who shall be paid
for expenses incurred prior to the date of the receipt of the
notice of termination. in no case, however, will CITY pay
GRANTEE an amount in excess of the total grant provided by this
Agreement.
It is hereby understood by and between CITY and GRANTEE that
any payments IT13dt-- in accordance with this Section to GRANTEE
shall be made only if said GRANTEE is not in default under the
terms of this Aq-T-eciiient. If GRANTEE is in default, then CITY
shall in no w.Ay be obligated and shall not pay to GFUU41'EE any
sum whatsoever.

unless CITY first consent in writing to the performance of
such services or any part thereof by another person or firm.

the part of GRANTEE, including any person acting for or on
