A A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ORDERING RESOLUTION NO. 84-787 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR SEALED BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I IN CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I, H-4497. WHEREAS, at the City Commission Meeting of July 30, 1984, Resolution No. 84-787 was passed which ordered a highway improvement identified as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I in CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I, H-4497; AND WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice, a public hearing was held before the City Commission on September 13, 1984, as to any objections to the confirmation of Resolution No. 84-787, which resolution ordered CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE I in CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I, H-4497; and WHEREAS, no objections to the confirmation of said highway improvement were sustained by the Commission, it is therefore in order for the Commission to confirm said ordering resolution and authorize the City Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the construction of said improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIANI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Resolution No. 84-787 dated July 30, 1984, which ordered CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I in CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I H-4497, is hereby confirmed. Clerk is hereby authorized to advertise Section 2. CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I, H-4497 was ordered by the City Commission on July 30, 1984. It is now in order to confirm the ordering resolution and to authorize advertising for bids. A public hearing will be held by the City Commission on September 13, 1984. At that time the Commission will hear objections to the confirmation of Ordering Resolution No. 84- 787. This improvement is being proposed as an assessable improvement under Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami. This district is located at N. W. 26 Street between N. W. 14 and 17 Avenues and S. W. 10 Street between S. W. 12 and 14 Avenues. The condition of the street rights of way in this project has deteriorated. The pavement is narrow, in poor condition, off center and/or out of grade; side parkways are in poor condition due to extensive on -street parking; and drainage problems exist. Page 1 of 2 k Howard V. Gary August 15, 1984 All of these problems will be corrected on the streets included in CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I, H-4497. The proposed construction will include. asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and/or gutters, storm drainage and landscaping. CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I is included in the City of Miami's 1983-89 Capital Improvement Program. The construction of the improvement will be funded by Highway General Obligation Bond Funds. The estimated total cost of this project is $300,000. This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and assessments as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I, H-4497, and the property against which special assessments shall be made for a portion of the cost thereof shall be designated as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I, H-4497.
