The attached Ordinance providcs for the issuance of $35,000,000,
subject to an clection, for FOrk avid Recreation facilities as
more comzplctely descriLbed in k"hic attached information prepared by
the DcpLr11-.--jcnt of cnd' Necreation.
This bond issue t,.-s presented to City voters on Harch 13, 1984
and did not pa . Section 100-331 of the City Statutes provides
that a new election cannot be called for at least six months.
The attached Bond Ordinance schedules this bond issue for
Tuesday, November 6, 1984. The second reading for this Ordinance
should be scheduled for September 24, 1984 or shortly thereafter,
in order to comply with the mandatory six month waiting period.

for the construction, development, xtension, enlargement or

conditions as may be fixed by resolutio% prior to the sale of any
of the bonds.
Section 3. For the prompt payment X the principal of and
the interest on such bonds, there shall be'.,levied and collected

CITY, over and above all other taxes authorized to be levied by

the CITY, sufficient to pay such principal antj interest as the
same respectively become due and payable.
Section 4. A special municipal election is lereby called to
be held oil Tue-,day, the 6th day, of November 1984, fOr the purpose

of submitting to the electors of the CITY, authoriz%=d by law to
participate in such election, the question whether\such bonds
shall be issued.
Section 5. Pursuant to 'applicable provisions of a w I this
ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its pas age and
shall not be subject to the right of referendum.

• Presently, the City has nine swimmina pools plus the
Jose Marti vool which is under construction. of the
nine pools, Williams pool is the only one which is
