SUBACT: Proposed Ordinance
Child Day Care Fees
REFERENCES:
ENCLOSURES: ( 4
It is recommended that the City of Miami .
Child Day Care Fees be moderately increased,
from a minimum fee of $28.00 to $31.00 per
week, as described, for the purpose of be-
coming self-sustaining, as per the attached
ordinance.
The City of Miami has been initiating steps in an effort to reach
its goal of operating self-sustaining Child Day Care Centers. The
1992 fee increase reduced general fund support from $213,000 to
$57,000.
A moderate fee increase, as proposed on the attached fact sheet,
- would further reduce this figure from $57,000
to a maximum of
$40,000, depending on enrollment levels.
