Surana,, Director Department of Management and Budget r DATE: June 11, 1984 MBE: DMB2/jw SUBJECT: Amendment to the Annual Appropriations Ordinance #9684 REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached ordinance increasing the appropriations for the Internal Service Fund - Central Stores in the amount of $25,000 for the purpose of providing additional inventory of [jurroughs B-20 supplies, revenue in the like amount will be available from various City departments. The Department of Computers requested that an inventory of Burroughs B-20 supplies be established in Central Stores. Inventoriable items such as print wheels, floppy disks, ribbons, paper, etc. will be stocked and sold to various City departments as requisitioned. The fiscal year 1984 Central Stores' inventory budget is $245,000 and is not sufficient to meet the additional cost associated with adding the above items to their inventory. An analysis was performed on the activity (additions and deletions to inventoriable supplies) for the Central Stores Stock room. The results indicated that an additional $25,000 appropriation was required to offset the increased purchases for Burroughs B-20 supplies. The Central Stores operation provides goods and services to other City departments and agencies on a cost reimbursement basis and must recover all their costs. The attached proposed ordinance is prepared for the July 12, 1984 City Commission meeting. Attachment A I.
