WITH AN ASSESSED VALUE OF $177,607, AND APPROVING THE USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $30,000 TO CLEAR THE TITLE TO THE ABOVE PROPERTY FROM ANY PENDING PROPERTY TAXES OR LIENS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept Lots A, 10 and 11, of Block A, N.W. Seventh Avenue Addition, Plat Book 7, page 36, Dade County, Florida, from Peter Realty Company, Inc, such property having an assessed value of $177,607. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to use Community Development funds in an amount not to exceed $30,000 to clear the title to the above property from any pending property taxes or liens. The offer of a proposed donation of real property with address at 550 N.W. 22nd Street and legally described as Lots A, 10 and 11 of Block A, N.W. Seventh Avenue Addition Plat Book 7, page 36, Dade County, Florida, was made to the City of Miami by Peter Realty Company, Inc. The property involved is a three -lot site with 13,800 square feet, a building with 26 units, and an area of 10,423 square feet. The property is located in the Garment Center/Fashion District Redevelopment Area and is included for acquisition within Phase III of the Acquisition Plan which has not yet been approved by the City Commission. -The Master Plan for the redevelopment of this area was approved by the City Commission on July 23, 1979, Resolution No. 79-553. Land acquisition within the Master plan was divided into three phases in order.to lessen residential dislocation, and to conform with available funding. Phases I and I1, approved by the City Commission, (9.07 acres) have been completed. (See attached Pi . ma �r Cost of acquisition of this property under regular procedures is estimated to be $185,000, while the donated estimated cost will be $30,000. The premises, which is abandoned and blighted, will be r demolished wince it serves no social or economic purpose. We recommend acceptance of the property.
